Romans 8: 35-39 (NKJV)
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[a]
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Christ has overcome the world,He has conquered sin, death and Hell… He has prevailed! Faint not Christian, though the walk is hard, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us! He gives us power to conquer the evil in the world, He gives us power to overcome our sin. Isn’t that amazing?
Terrible happenings are going on in the world today. There’s so much evil. So much rejection of God and His laws that are in place for our good. So much abominable things going on in our world today. So much hate, so much violence. So much trials and tribulation.
But Christ says in John 16:33 (NKJV):
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will[a] have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
In Matthew 16:18 we are told that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ!
Through it all God wants us to have peace, He wants us to continue to conquer sin, He wants us to be joyful because He has already overcome the world… even though the world and life are uncertain, He wants us to have victory! So be encouraged, friend!
Nothing … absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. It doesn’t matter what we go through or what life throws at us… He will be there with us through it all!
So keep fighting the good fight and remember that nothing can separate you from Christ’s amazing love!
