Are you worried, discouraged, anxious, fearful, distressed? Trials, tribulation, anxiety and depression seem to be part and parcel of life.
So much crazy things are going on in our world today – wars, conflicts, violence, crime, natural disasters, terrorism, economic uncertainty, family problems, disease, death, injustice, hatred and more. We fear for our future. Those who have children fear for their future. We fear for our jobs and our security.
Don’t let fear, worry and anxiety get hold of you! Don’t let them control you! Don’t dwell on those thoughts for they will lead you into a downward spiral of depression.
Peace comes through knowing God and fully trusting Him regardless what happens in life.
In the bad times, choose to focus on that which is good even though it seems to be non-existent. Think about God and His lovingkindness and mercy. God is there even in the midst of the storm. His grace, mercy and power shines forth even brighter in the darkest of times.
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Christ is calling to all who are weary and burdened down with the cares of life “Come to Me”! “I will give you rest!” I am ready… I am willing… I am able He says. You will find rest for your souls!
God gives His perfect peace to those who seek to fully trust Him.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
